THIS POSITION IS FOR UPPERCLASSMEN ONLY. FRESHMEN ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR DEPARTMENT POSITIONS. This is a full academic year position.
Expected hours of work per week: 810 negotiable upfront
Work Location & Hours: The Kirk Office; Mon Fri; 8am4:30pm
Qualifications for Position:

- Strong ability to take initiative and work independently
- Must be a current Covenant College student
Opportunities for Development:
- Content creation skills for Alumni social media pages including working with the Marketing team to develop onbrand content
- Phone and email etiquette in a professional setting
- Collaboration with fellow student workers as well as direct managers and departments across the institution.
- Event planning and hospitality to our constituents
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
**PLEASE NOTE that these responsibilities will be divided up amongst the team based on your skill set.
This position
Social Media:
- Create content for social media including but not limited to banners/posters Instagram/Facebook stories posts videos and photos
- Track and analyze data on social media posts
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications Social Media Content Specialist.
Communications:
- Developing proficient knowledge of Covenant College internal systems (particularly Covenant Banner Interface and Slate)
- Manage daytoday communication with alumni inbox alumni updates alumni phone line handwritten thank you notes etc.
- Record all communication with alumni in Slate
- Maintain and update database systems (CBI or Slate)
- Pull lists from CBI or Slate as needed
- Collaborate with the Marketing/Communications Office on alumni updates for The View magazine
- Maintain alumni office storage inventory list
- Assist in alumni surveys
- Extend hospitality to alumni in a gracious and welcoming manner
Office Operations:
- Assist in scheduling social media posts
- Answer phone calls and emails
- Assist the Constituent Relations Coordinator in managing the Alumni Offices Serve Crew
- Run errands as needed
- Maintain TV slideshow for the Kirk TV
- Other duties as assigned
Events:
- Assist the Assistant Director of Constituent & Alumni Relations in managing and planning regional events
- Assist with and facilitate event planning (manage RSVP lists and confirmations collaborate on social media communication for events invitations filling out the post event form with voice memos name tags etc.
- Homecoming
- Assist with and facilitate Homecoming planning
- Staff Homecoming events
- Covenant in Your City Regional Events:
- Assist in creating biographies
- Assist with communications
- Create name tags
- Manage Serve staff and train them to make calls
- Other duties as assigned
Resume skills development (NACE Competencies required by employers) to be developed
