Finance Associate
(Winnipeg or Ste Agathe MB; hybrid)
Note: Expected Start Date will be June 2 2025 or later

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Finance Accountant the Finance Associate will be responsible for supporting accounting related task and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and reconcile ledgers and accounts regularly.
- Assist with external/internal audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Manages accounting for all raw seeds transactions.
- Assist with the management of inventory accounting.
- Works closely with Farm Ops and seeds growers to provide insights and support.
- Assists in Accounts Receivable/Payable functions.
- Prepare weekly pay runs and priority payments.
- Manage expense reporting and reconciliation
- Prepare transactions in Sage as needed.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations company policies and internal controls.
- Other duties as assigned by the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration and 1 year of experience or an equivalent combination.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the Accounting field specializing in general accounting combined with CPA or working towards obtaining CPA is preferred.
- Advanced problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage AccPac and Microsoft Business Central is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Access)

- Comply with basic systems and procedures for Fresh Hemp Foods Ltd.
- Participate in ongoing training as directed by Management
- Each Team Member is responsible to report on food safety and/or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate corrective actions.
