Job Description

General Information:

Job title: Radiographic Technologist

Schedules available:

  • Fulltime 7280 hours per pay period; 12hour shifts weekend and holiday rotation required

Additonial Information: This position will work within our Urgent Care setting at our new Gateway Center facility. Position will have opportunitly to be trained in phlebotomy.

Position Summary:

The Radiographic Technologist/Phlebotomist position performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures for radiologic diagnosis and assists physicians in selection of practical applications and technical factors while also drawing blood and collection specimens so tests can be performed and doctors can make diagnoses.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographs examinations ordered by physicians.
  • Gather appropriate patient history and relevant testing results.
  • Document imaging exams in electronic health record and PACS.
  • Check schedules for addons changes and correct orders.
  • Assist in scheduling patients for tests and give proper instructions.
  • Contact providers for new and updated orders.
  • Register patients as needed.
  • Perform Phlebotomy.
  • Run inhouse lab tests.
  • Prepare lab samples for shipment.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Twoyear degree in radiography required.
  • 1 years related work experience preferred.
  • Must hold and maintain ARRT certification.
  • Must hold and maintain radiography license from the state of Wisconsin.
  • BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements through professional journals on the job training and other educational opportunities.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required.
  • Requires assessment evaluation and decisionmaking skills.
  • Knowledge of radiography phlebotomy and lab safety.
  • Selfstarter with excellent compassion interpersonal communication oral and written communication and problemsolving skills.
