Job Description
Rutherford Regional Health System is a 143bed acute care facility that offers a broad array of inpatient and outpatient care. The Radiology Ast./Transport transports patients specimens and equipment throughout the facility.
Essential Functions:
- Transports patients via wheelchair stretcher or bed to designated sites as requested including patients with oxygen tanks intravenous pumps drips monitors and other equipment.
- Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Delivers equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department.
- Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
- Transports patients to and from nursing unit to imaging by bed stretcher or wheelchair observing safety precautions.
- Responsible for the transportation and maintenance of O2 tanks and associated equipment.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to make appropriate independent decisions.
