Job Description
With the belief that they were there when we needed them so we must be there now that they need us Veterans Inc. the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England is seeking to fill the Senior Clinician position and become a valued member of Veterans Inc. team!
Veterans Inc. is seeking a Senior Clinician to assist in our expanding Inpatient Treatment Programming in Worcester County. The Senior Clinician is responsible for providing clinical support participating in treatment planning and following up with patient care services. The Senior Clinician must have extensive experience and competency in mental health and addiction training.
WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY
- Works with leadership to provide clinical guidance and support to designated staff.
- Responsible for assisting staff with treatment planning participant assessments and staff development of evidencebased practices and psychosocial approaches.
- Assists with developing strategic plans for mental health and substance use treatment and writing policies and procedures that support programming and reflect the agencys philosophy and objectives.
- Works with leadership to ensure all program standards are met to maintain licensure compliance and accreditation.
- Assists with staff training to support program needs and provide education regarding psychotherapeutic techniques and evidencebased treatment practices.
- Assists with identifying mental health and substance use assessment tools and how they should be administered.
- Assist with medical observation documentation MAT and psychiatric services while patients are in the program.
- Assists with developing and launching patient engagement initiatives including outreach to destigmatize the utilization of counseling services. Works to enhance the Culture of Care and understands how to treat patients with dignity and respect and to deescalate.
- Provide documentation and timely reports (including narratives and data reports) as needed.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
- Masters Degree in Social Work or related field required.
- LMHC LADC 1 required. LICSW Preferred.
- Two years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience.
- Oneyear clinical supervisory experience; and has acted as Senior Clinician for over two years.
- Documented experience working with adults with a dual diagnosis of a mental illness and a substance use disorder.
- Strong interpersonal organizational and writing skills.
- Documented experience working with patients with trauma histories.
- Experience using electronic medical records is desirable.
