What impact youll make
As a member of the Direct Air Capture team you will play a crucial role in the first new product introduced by GE Vernova for capturing CO2 directly from the atmosphere. Your responsibilities will encompass the development of processes to move our coating process from lab scale up to full product capability while ensuring safety quality delivery and cost.

What youll do
- Lead collaboration between the GE Vernova Advanced Research Center (ARC) design engineering team and suppliers on trials and qualifications needed to define a process for coating direct air capture contactors with carbon capturing sorbent
- Define standards for raw material source consistency based on ARC testing
- Define qualification requirements for raw materials mixing and coating
- Define process changes that require vendors to submit a frozen process change request
- Support sourcing in design of raw material & coating supply chain router
- Develop coating industrialization strategy
- Technical support for developing & scaling the strip & recoat process for servicing contactors
- Consult on supply chain & design considerations when scaling raw material and coating processes
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree in engineering in materials science chemistry chemical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of combined relevant work experience in materials coatings and/or industrialization for power generation heavy industrial chemical process or similar industry
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and procedures
What will make you stand out
- Masters degree and/or PhD in Chemistry Materials Science or Chemical engineering
- Prior experience with industrialization of coating processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes capabilities and qualification procedures; especially in collaboration with external global vendors
- Desire to work in a highly dynamic environment with constantly changing requirements
- Desire to continue learning and selfdirected skill development

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This Senior Professional Band position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 15.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110 120 or 130 of salary in certain areas.
