Job Description
Responsibilities
- Understand the external APIs we use to populate our product. Triage technical support questions before our data team needs to look at anything. Build and maintain Slack bots with these APIs to help internal members find answers on their own.
- Onboard and support TruMedias API clients. Create documentation triage support questions and help the business team evangelize the benefits. Be an expert on how to use our internal APIs. Make the API presentable in a way that meets their needs.
- Onboard and support clients in ingesting their proprietary data and video. Create documentation triage support questions and help the business team evangelize the benefits.
- Build and maintain internal databases the data team uses in production for niche data points that are valuable and not available via external APIs. These could be spreadsheets or MySQL/PostgreSQL tables depending on the type of data and frequency of updates. Building scripts to se data would be a part of this.
- Present ideas and improvements to engineering teams in a simple and useful way based on client feedback and selfuse of the technical tools clients use.
- Build scripts to QC commonly used data to proactively find and report issues before clients do.
- Work closely with the business team to assist in closing sales. Proactively build out API scripts that interest them have sandbox Data/Video Pro demos ready to show the power of the product and generally make sure the technical experience they are getting during the trial period is top notch.
Skills/Qualifications
- Experience using the TruMedia product particularly as a technical user (API Data Pro etc. and with creating custom stats 1 year min)
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
- Experience querying SQL tables and preferably creating and updating SQL tables
- Experience bridging the gap between a technical and nontechnical audience
- Always willing to help others make their lives easier
- Mostly a business hours role but some nontraditional hours would be expected
