We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer supporting one of our premier programs in the business unit where your knowledge with regards to clarification of requirements system engineering analyses algorithm development requirements definition and derivation interface definition and requirement validation and verification will be put to good use. The work is onsite in Aurora CO.

What You Will Do

• Provide engineering support for the of a portion of the programs test program including test processes and baseline definition test architecture design verification and validation

• Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline

• Provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases

• Decompose requirements define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team

• Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

• Active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required and ability to obtain SAP. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

• Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle roles and functions with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development requirements management functional analysis/synthesis interface definition and control and/or verification and validation

• Integration and Test experience as well as Development experience on a government contract

• Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps development methods in an Agile development environment

• Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment

• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word Excel and PowerPoint)

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in Satellite Command/Control Mission Management or Planning domains

• Experience with Agile tool sets (JIRA Confluence BitBucket etc.

• Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases

• Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment

• Experience using EggPlant

• Scripting knowledge (eg: Pytheon)

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
