Director of IT
Summary
Responsible for overall planning organizing and of IT functions for HAC Inc. This includes directing IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing infrastructure applications and development of new technical solutions. This position is a handson working Director position and reports to the CIO.
Primary Responsibilities
- Be a positive leader for IT staff;
- Oversee IT operations and supervise systems;
- Develop strategy as it relates to the organizations IT infrastructure (computer and information systems security communication systems);
- Identifying vulnerabilities the need for upgrades and opportunities for improvement.
- Developing implementing and evaluating IT projects in line with organizational objectives.
- Develop manage and track the IT departments annual spend;
- Proposing strategic solutions and recommending new systems and software.
- Consult seniorlevel stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology;
- Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance;
- Create processes and standards for selection implementation and support of systems;
- Provide direction guidance and training to IT staff;
- Ensuring reported issues are resolved in a timely manner;
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field;
- 5 years of progressive IT leadership experience and a minimum of 2 years experience at a management level;
- Advanced experience in software development and building software development teams;
- Significant depth in IT technologies and best practices including network infrastructure (Cisco) Cloudbased infrastructure virtualization (VMWare) IP Telephony (Cisco) enterprise applications cybersecurity and data warehouses;
- A track record of building and leading high performing IT security teams that achieve measurable objectives;
- Welldeveloped interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Ability to communicate technical information both verbal and written to a wide range of endusers;
- Extremely disciplined approach to and followthrough with a demonstrated ability to swiftly establish metricsbased management systems;
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting goals and deadlines under pressure;
- Candidates with retail experience will be prioritized;
