IT Systems Engineer

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for identifying strategic and tactical activities for IT enterprise enhancements and sustainment. This position assists the Government in information management (IM) analysis and prioritizing initiatives development and integration efforts to eliminate redundancy and align capabilities for the client IT Enterprise. In addition the IT Systems Engineer shall provide requirements analysis and management for the customers subordinate commands; and support the client in identifying validating coordinating and documenting IT requirements.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for IT Systems Engineer: $105000 to $115000

Pay commensurate with experience.

IT Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Provide the customer with IT technical assistance and expertise related to IT requirements for various systems within the enterprise.
• Assist the customers subordinate commands with technical review of IT requirements to ensure they are aligned with the IT strategy for modernization and standardization.
• Review requirements submitted by the customers subordinate commands for accuracy correctness and completeness and ensure that IT equipment procurements are aligned with the customers hardware standards.
• Work with ACCINSCOM on the submissions of the customers subordinate commands IT acquisition requirements. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of acquisition documents going to ACCINSCOM.
• Recommendations on organizational manning and enterprise relationships; preparation of briefings and papers for INSCOM senior leadership; providing technical expertise and recommendations at planning implementation meetings; and providing recommendations on G6/GISA organization and TTPs.
• Attends INSCOM IT meetings VTCs and conferences as required and supports coordination with key military and civilian personnel at MSCs HQDA Army MACOMs Services and Intelligence Agencies
• Supports the development of Unfunded Requirement (UFR) and POM issue papers organizational and functional laydowns POA&M MS Project schedules facilities planning documents security architecture planning documents strategy and implementation documents and briefings
• Providing IT subject matter expertise on various topics in various forums.
• Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned

IT Systems Engineer Experience Education Skills Abilities requested:

• Prefer a minimum of a BA/BS in a technologyrelated field; ten years experience as an IT Systems Architect or Engineer can be substituted for the degree.
• Two years experience in Project Engineering Systems Engineering or Software Engineering is required; 6 years experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal government contracts and programs
• Must have good analytical skills attention to detail selfmotivation and highly effective organizational skills
• Must be able to adapt to a changing environment
• Must be proficient in all MS Office suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint
• Must pass the preemployment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
