About Pyramid: Merchandising is a Portfolio within Target tech building systems and products that are core to our enterprise retail operations. We deal with and power solutions over Pricing Promotions Item Supplier Owned Brand Merch Planning Space Presentation & Transitions.
About team: The Competitive Intelligence team is responsible for gathering and delivering competitor data to support both tactical and strategic decisionmaking at Target. The team has inhouse capabilities for data collection along with the ability to integrate external data creating a cohesive view of the broader retail landscape. Our ability to collect data across thousands of locations for millions of products each dayand to deliver an accurate and timely representation of what a shopper would seeis critical to powering multiple systems including pricing shipping promise product setup and assortment planning.
About SEM: The Sr. Engineering Manager (SEM) is responsible for a managing a team of full stack engineers that is building highly innovative and cutting edge solutions. This role is accountable for leading a team developing code deploying and managing in production. Most importantly the SEM while working with the Product owners coowns the product vison building the product roadmap and delivering systems and capabilities that build into a great guest experience. You will be called upon to be the technical representative for your team during crossteam collaborative efforts and planning. Success in this role will require strong and innovative approaches to problem solving great technical leadership excellent communication (written and verbal formal and informal) flexibility accountability and a selfmotivated working style with attention to detail. About you:
Fouryear degree or equivalent experience
12 years of experience in software development and team management
Expertise in Java and related programming languages
Experience evaluating new technologies and participating in decisionmaking considering factors such as viability within Targets technical environment compliance requirements approved tech status maintainability and cost of ownership
Proven ability to deliver highperformance scalable repeatable and secure solutions with broad impact
Experience leading functional design and architecture discussions with an understanding of process flows and system diagrams to support design decisions
