Gate Keeper / Entry Watch

Perform various laborintensive tasks in an industrial setting under the direction of a supervisor or foreman. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. Entry watch job is to monitor a property for safety and security and to respond to any emergencies. Entry Watch are often the first to notice and act on issues. May assist other craft workers. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Patrol:Regularly inspect and patrol the premises
  • Monitor:Monitor surveillance entrances and exits
  • Control access:Authorize who can enter and exit the property.
  • Respond to alarms:Respond to alarms and other emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Report:Report on any suspicious activity incidents or irregularities
  • Aid:Assist people in need provide information and guide traffic use of flagging equipment
  • Secure:Secure doors windows and other entrances
  • Complete reports:Document all observations and incidents in reports
  • Be a deterrent:Be a visible deterrent to rule infraction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment materials and supplies is used in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Ability to understand follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Ability to work in a confined space.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education no minimum education requirements.

Experience 3 to 5 years experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
