Chase Lane Primary School and Nursery is a vibrant and successful school in the North East of London with approximately 680 children on roll representing over 40 different languages. We have exceptional facilities including a modern building extensive outdoor spaces and advanced ICT provision.

JOB TITLE: School Business Manager required June 2025

SALARY: Scale PO4 point 35 to point 38 (dependent on skills and experience)

36 hours per week /52 weeks per year

Responsibilities will include the management of Finance Facilities and Premises and ICT related administration.

We are looking for an experienced SBM who has:

  • Strategic leadership and management experience of areas including finance premises and facilities management in an educational environment ideally in a PFI School
  • Effective communication negotiating and influencing skills including the ability to present written and verbal information to a variety of audiences including Governors.
  • Be an effective team member willing to undertake a range of duties.
  • Be dedicated to developing positive relationships with all members of the school community.

The successful candidate will also:

  • Have excellent numeracy & literacy skills
  • Have excellent knowledge of SIMS and FMS system
  • Be confident using software including Microsoft Package
  • Be able to use their own initiative
  • Be willing to attend Governing Body meetings as required
  • Manage their own workload and prioritize deadlines
  • Be approachable and friendly with all pupils staff & parents
  • Be flexible
