Job Description
QSAC is seeking dedicated and energetic staff looking to work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum who will provide direct instruction. We are hiring for all roles in the school. We are currently hiring for Teacher Assistants and Special Education Teachers.
QSAC will be hosting an in person event with Hiring Managers that will give you the opportunity to receive employment decisions the same day. It will take place on 4.24.25 from 10:00 am to 3:00pm at our Bronx Day School.
This position requires you to work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum between the ages of 521 years old
Regular work hours at the Bronx Day School is from 8:00 am 3:30 pm Mon Friday 1/2 hour lunch). The school operates on a year round schedule 12 months)
Salary Ranges for Education Positions
Teachers Aide $17.00
Teacher Assistant $21.00 (Must have TA1 Certificate)
Substitute Teacher $ 23.00 $ 29.00 hourly (Certifications NYS Students with Disabilities BPermanent or All Gradesrequired
Special Education Teacher $ 65000.00 $ 90000.00 annually Commensurate with level of certification education experience and ABA credentials (if applicable).

Mission
QSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism together with their families in achieving greater independence realizing their future potential and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering personcentered services. QSAC pursues this mission through direct services that provide a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication socialization academic and functional skills
Teacher Assistants: The starting rate for this position is $17.00 USD Hourly if you do not have TA1 Certification. As a requirement of this position you must obtain your TA1 Certification within the first 4 months of employment. After successful completion of this certification your rate will be adjusted to $21.00 USD Hourly.
Special Education Teacher: Special Education Teachers require NY State certification (Students with Disabilities 16 . Teaching responsibilities include implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) classroom management participation in annual meetings and completion of required reports. Extensive training and support are provided with opportunities for professional growth and development.
