The Director of the Treatment Unit collaborates with the Medical Director to provide leadership and oversight of the Crossroads clinic including policy and program development financial success/sustainability and day to day service delivery operations. Ensures quality personcentered service provision and compliance with all applicable regulations contracts and standards.
Responsibilities
Sustainability & Performance
- Serve as chief liaison with funders referrers regulators and other organizations. Market and represent CCA with external parties.
- Oversee outreach to market the programs services and grow the program.
- Ensure revenue generation and expenses are managed in line with budget.
- Collaborate with other leaders to set KPIs/objectives (across clinical outcomes participant satisfaction compliance and financial factors).
- Assess performance identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with others to implement changes.
- Prepare grant and licensing applications and reports.
- Prepare for lead participation in and followup from internal and external audits.
Program & Policy Development
- Maintain awareness of regulatory and clinical changes trends and unmet needs in substance use treatment behavioral health and alternatives to incarceration.
- Identify impacts and opportunities for Crossroads and use this insight to further develop the program.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to set clinical policy and standards.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures identifying and incorporating best practices and ensuring regulatory accreditation and contract compliance.
Service Delivery Operations
- Oversee provision of all behavioral health and nonclinical services ensuring services meet all applicable standards.
- Ensure that service is delivered in a traumainformed personcentered approach resolve all formal complaints and grievances conduct appeal hearings.
- Direct and supervise clinical and administrative staff conducting all activities inherent in a supervisory position such as recruitment scheduling individual and group supervision performance evaluation and training (both direct delivery and facilitating training by others).
- Ensure client records and program data are completed/collected accurately and participant information is released only where appropriately authorized. Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance.
- Ensure the electronic health record system(s) is configured to meet clinic needs. Ensure appropriate access to the system.
- Participate in organization committees as assigned e.g. incident review compliance.
- Monitor facility and staff to ensure a safe environment.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in public health social work criminal justice or related
- New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required
- New York State Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) preferred.
- 3 years experience in an OASASlicensed chemical dependency program
- 3 years of supervisory experience required.
- Demonstrable experience delivering financial performance improvement in an OASAS or OMH clinic.
Commitment to and experience in working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds people with substance use disorder and people who are involved or at risk of involvement with the legal system.
- Excellent program and people management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent clinical and advocacy skills
- Strong computer literacy including using electronic systems for clinical recordkeeping.
