Are you seeking a fulfilling career in public service that makes a positive impact on the lives of rehabilitated individuals The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking dedicated and motivated Corrections Community Center Monitors to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the care custody and supervision of individuals transitioning back into society at the stateoperated Johnstown Community Corrections Center (CCC). If you are passionate about supporting reentrants on their journey to successful reintegration into their families and communities and ending each day knowing you have made a difference this is the ideal opportunity for you!
In this position you will be responsible for maintaining daily activity logs monitoring the behavior of reentrants and conducting searches for contraband in common areas. You will oversee the management and inventory of prescription medications security equipment tools hazardous chemicals and housekeeping supplies. Additionally you will oversee the signin and signout register for both reentrants and visitors controlling their movement within the CCC. A key duty will be conducting orientations for new reentrants which involves reviewing DOC and CCC policies rules and regulations. You will provide information on available public services assign rooms and delegate tasks. Furthermore you will document and track reentrants daily activities helping ensure the center remains ready for inspections. The ideal candidate will be attentive to the needs and concerns of the public and crime victims responding effectively to address any issues or complaints.
