The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Corporate Controlling team reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager. This role focuses on enhancing internal controls and compliance related to revenue cost of goods sold (COGS) inventory and intercompany processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting and analytical skills with the ability to investigate transaction flows explain variances in business terms and support management decisionmaking.
This position requires collaboration across domestic and international teams offering opportunities for growth through continuous process improvement and crossfunctional exposure. The successful candidate will be selfmotivated detailoriented and proactive in identifying and implementing solutions.
Targeted Outcomes
Strengthen internal controls and improve processes for revenue COGS inventory and intercompany accounting.
Establish clear ownership of key reporting and analysis responsibilities and drive continuous improvement.
Build effective relationships and foster collaboration with domestic and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
Prepare and analyze revenuerelated reporting and adjustments.
Review and manage commission accruals and clearings.
Maintain controls over customer rebate accounts.
Analyze sales returns and maintain reserves.
Support COGSrelated reporting and audit requirements.
Inventory Management
Assist with physical inventory counts and related reporting.
Provide ad hoc inventory support as needed.
Manage intercompany chargebacks and netting transactions.
Perform intercompany balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Post and reconcile intercompany intellectual property investment loan and interest transactions.
Support monthend close activities for nonmanufacturing international entities.
Contribute to special projects related to intercompany activities.
Maintain uptodate process documentation in OneNote.
General Accounting and Analysis
Complete account reconciliations using OneStream.
Investigate and resolve variances in reconciliations.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies and US GAAP.
Team
Reports to Corporate Accounting Manager
Works crossfunctionally with teams across domestic sites and international regions.
Required Experience
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (CPA or MBA preferred).
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Solid understanding of intercompany and manufacturing accounting processes (chemical industry experience is a plus).
Experience with SAP is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with OneStream BI tools BPC or HFM is a plus.
Required Skills
Strong technical accounting and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP crossfile links).
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Proactive problemsolver with strong time management and selfdirection.
Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
