Job Description
Are you passionate about creating innovative applications that make a real impactNS2 is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Applications Developer to join our dynamic team in Chantilly VA.The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design development and maintenance of software applications and database systems. You will be responsible for creating scalable and robust applications that meet formal user requirements and enhance business capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain software applications and/or databases.
- Gather document and formalize user requirements for Sponsor consideration.
- Translate business and user requirements into detailed application/database designs including interfaces with external systems.
- Write and maintain interfaces between applications or between applications and databases.
- Conduct unit integration and functional testing of applications.
- Design and develop userfriendly application layouts and interfaces.
- Code debug and test web applications for performance and scalability.
- Create and maintain interactive webbased databases and services.
- Design and implement graphics user interfaces and visual elements of applications.
- Analyze design implement and maintain structured database systems.
- Develop test implement and support complex software and database solutions.
- Organize content develop color schemes and produce highquality visuals and layouts.
- Perform data migrations and transitions from legacy systems to new structures.
- Transition applications and databases to production environments.
- Enhance and optimize applications and database functionality postdeployment.
- Write clean maintainable and welldocumented code.
- Track diagnose and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in application and database development.
- Strong understanding of frontend and backend technologies.
- Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript etc..
- Experience with programming languages such as Java Python C# or similar.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL Oracle).
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong problemsolving and debugging skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with legacy system migration.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience designing user interfaces and graphics.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).
