We are seeking a talented and experienced Design & Technology Teacher with a specialism in Resistant Materials to join our dedicated DT Department at a thriving school in Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative handson educator to help shape a forwardthinking curriculum and inspire students to explore design engineering and innovation through practical and purposeful learning.
As an Experienced DT Teacher (Resistant Materials) you will:
Deliver highquality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 and potentially Key Stage 5 with a focus on Resistant Materials including woods metals plastics and modern materials.
Design and deliver engaging projectbased lessons that encourage problemsolving technical skill development and creativity.
Collaborate with colleagues to shape and refine a dynamic and relevant curriculum aligned with industry trends and student interests.
Ensure a strong focus on health and safety in the workshop environment while modelling correct use of machinery tools and materials.
Monitor and assess student progress providing constructive feedback to support academic growth and skill mastery.
Support enrichment and extracurricular opportunities such as STEM clubs design competitions and practical workshops.
Contribute to the development of the department and potentially mentor less experienced colleagues or lead subjectspecific initiatives.

Were looking for an experienced and enthusiastic DT Teacher with:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree or specialism in Resistant Materials or Product Design
Strong experience delivering DT lessons with a particular focus on practical workshop skills and projectbased learning
Indepth knowledge of materials processes CAD/CAM and health & safety procedures
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A collaborative forwardthinking approach and the ability to contribute meaningfully to departmental improvement
A commitment to promoting inclusive practice and high achievement for all learners
Passion for design creativity and handson learning
