Were a dynamic and growing organization with a strong social mission to inspire hope. We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support young learners in a resource room setting. This role focuses on developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs while fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
As the SPED Instructor you will create a structured and supportive classroom environment that nurtures student growth. Your role will involve developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student s unique needs while maintaining accurate records of progress. Through regular assessments you will identify students educational needs and adapt the curriculum to accommodate diverse learning abilities. Beyond academics you will provide emotional and social support fostering a positive and inclusive learning experience. Collaboration with general education teachers specialists and families will be key in ensuring a wellrounded support system for student success.
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
- Experience in preschool or elementary special education settings is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills team players encouraged to apply!
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and evidencebased behavior strategies.
