Job Description

RecruitNet International is inviting applications for the role of Assistant Director of Nursing ADON) to a Nursing Homes in Co Kilkenny. A compassionate ADON that can ensure the delivery of the highest standards of nursing care while leading a team.
Job Types: Fulltime Permanent
Responsibilities
- Help with the daytoday operations and general administration of clinical services
- Assist the nursing and care team with leadership direction and mentoring while making ensuring that internal policies and HIQA regulations are followed.
- Participate in performance management hiring and strategy planning.
- Create a welcoming and cooperative work atmosphere and serve as a vital liaison between residents families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Oversee or assist with quality assurance and internal auditing projects.
Requirements
- NMBI General Division Registered Nurse
- Experience in a nursing home or other setting that provides care for elderly people is highly preferred. A minimum of five years of nursing experience is required with at least two of those years spent in a leadership or management role.
- Excellent clinical expertise and demonstrated leadership abilities
- Outstanding organizational problemsolving and interpersonal skills
- thorough understanding of elder care best practices and HIQA guidelines
