You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Hospitalist Medicine Service (HMS) at the QEII Health Sciences Center in Halifax is seeking hospitalists to provide locum coverage. The QEII functions as community hospital for Halifax and the tertiary/quaternary care center for Nova Scotia and the Atlantic provinces. The HMS covers 755 surge beds at the QEII across both the Halifax Infirmary and Victoria General sites. Remuneration is daily provincial rate; night call is via stipend and facilityoncall fee.
HMS offers a team approach to inpatient care. We seek hospitalists who will model excellence in general medical care have superb communication skills with patients and families and who work well in team settings.

Compensation is provided by the service and locum physicians are eligible to access the travel elements of the program including reimbursement for kilometrage per diems accommodations (up to $300 per night) and airfare (up to $1500 along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.
