Construction Engineer Inspector II

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Engineer / Inspector to work on roadway and bridge construction projects in Chicago IL.

The qualified applicant should be able to demonstrate a high level of interest in Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI). The position provides the opportunity to support CEI efforts for exciting challenging and highprofile transportation projects for IDOT Illinois Tollway CDOT and other local Municipalities. This position provides training guidance and development of skills needed to lead major projects as Resident Engineer in the future.

Under the responsible charge of a Resident Engineer:

• Work within the CEI group on the construction projects including local roadways highways interstates freight and transit drainage improvements and utility relocation and protection

• Perform field inspection and documentation of Contractors activities

• Perform field measurements for quantity calculations and reporting for pay estimates

• Communicate effectively with the project team including Clients Contractors and Project Stakeholders

• Provide quality inspection to ensure that job is being built in accordance with approved plans

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS 2 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

• Driving is required for this position.  Must pass a motor vehical check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Illinois Tollway Experience

• IDOT

• Transit and Railway Experience
