AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager Interim Infrastructure Airport Project to join our team. This position is based onsite out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced sustainable and passengerfriendly airports in the world.
Major Requirements:
Oversees the owners construction coordination and inspection efforts.
Collaborates closely with the contractors construction management team to ensure effective project delivery.
Leads the owners construction management team including the Deputy Construction Manager and Construction Inspectors.
Provides subject matter expertise in construction management and overall project delivery.
Supports design management to ensure alignment with procurement and construction requirements.
Participates in constructability reviews scope management and value engineering during the design phase.
Monitors the contractors construction activities to verify compliance with program specifications.
Actively tracks manages and reports on construction progress and schedule performance.
Supports commercial processes related to contractor payment applications and invoicing.
Oversees postconstruction activities including handover to operations and warranty review.
Conducts claims analysis and recommends resolution strategies.
Coordinates with safety quality assurance and inspection teams to maintain standards.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position candidates must possess at a very minimum:
University Degree 8 years of relevant experience in construction management including on large airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
Preferred Requirements:
Professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset.
Typically brings a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in construction management.
At least 10 years of experience on largescale airport projects or equivalent complex infrastructure programs.
A minimum of 10 years of onsite experience within highly regulated and operationally complex environments.
Proven track record of leading teams to deliver complex projects and programs successfully.
Strong technical expertise across all project phasesdesign planning construction operations and maintenancepreferably within largescale programs.
Experience working in collaborative project environments with a solid understanding of progressive contracting models such as Progressive DesignBuild and Target Price.
Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and produce reporting that supports informed decisionmaking.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including facilitation of meetings and workshops involving diverse stakeholder groups.
Additional Information :
This position requires work onsite/out of the office 5 days a week.
