Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounts Payable (AP) Team Lead to join our finance team. This role will be pivotal in integrating the P2P function from India Finance into the Group Finance Function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes compliance and team leadership with a focus on driving efficiency and maintaining financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the endtoend accounts payable process: Ensure accuracy timeliness and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors: Resolve disputes and payment issues efficiently.
- Supervise the endtoend processing of Company Expenses and Travel Costs: Ensure accuracy timeliness and completions of required payment reports.
- Supervise the endtoend processing of all Company Credit Cards: Ensure all company credit cards are processed to the month end timelines.
- Manage the daytoday requests for Virtual Credit Cards: Ensure all IRIS ticket requests are actioned with the appropriate information and approvals.
- Lead mentor and develop the AP team: Provide training and guidance to ensure high performance.
- Monitor team workload: Set clear objectives and ensure key deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with finance procurement and other departments: Streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization: Enhance efficiency.
- Implement and maintain internal controls: Minimize risks and ensure financial integrity.
- Assist in audits (internal/external): Provide required documentation and explanations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and financial guidelines.
Integration Process Responsibilities:
- Assess current AP processes in India: Conduct a thorough review of the existing accounts payable processes in the area to be integrated.
- Develop an integration plan: Provide valuable input into a detailed plan outlining the steps and timeline for integrating India into ZIP.
- Coordinate with stakeholders: Work closely with key stakeholders in the area being integrated as well as the group finance to ensure a smooth transition.
- Standardize processes: Align the local AP processes with global standards and best practices.
- Implement new systems and tools: Facilitate the adoption of ZIP and purchase order within India and Australia.
- Monitor progress: Track the progress of the integration and coordinate any issues or challenges that arise.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of AP processes taxation (GST TDS) and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage change effectively.
