Your Role at Baxter

Service Technician II employees contribute to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by working as a part of the Product Service Depot team performing preventive maintenance troubleshooting repair functional testing safety testing software updates technical phone support / troubleshooting escalation assistance to technicians and calibration of computer based and electromechanical medical devices. Ensuring the highest quality individuals follow documented standard work instructions and document findings into the system of record.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Identify through extensive testing and product knowledge when a device malfunction requires escalation.
  • Contacts and communicates with our customers directly via phone. This interaction is required when communicating the services required to repair a device (i.e. questions about the service estimate provided).
  • Provides technical phone support when a customers allegation cannot be verified. Provide additional troubleshooting to better understand the failure mode. (I.e. system accessory issues or use of the device that may have contributed to the issue observed by the customer).
  • Communicates with the customers biomedical service technicians and thirdparty service centers to explain the proper servicing techniques parts required and tooling necessary when repairing a Baxter device.

What Youll Bring:

  • Associate degree in Electronics Computer Information/Tech or related discipline preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting analytical and problemsolving experience and aptitude.
  • Must be organized and have a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient with test equipment or tools such as: Digital Multimeter or Oscilloscope.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are preferred. You may be asked to speak publicly to a small group and on the phone or face to face with our customers.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Operating systems (Microsoft Office Excel and Power Point) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to perform onsite service is a plus.
  • SAP Experience is beneficial.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end this position has a base salary range of $51200 to $70400. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including but not limited to relevant skills/experience time in the role business line and geographic/office location.
