Job Description

CAIRSFBA is looking to hire a Programs Coordinator Outreach & Youth to lead youth outreach and engagement across the Bay Area. This role is perfect for someone passionate about building relationships confident speaking to diverse audiences and excited to represent CAIRSFBA in public spaces. Youll lead key youth initiatives and connect with schools mosques and regional partners. Initiative and adaptability will be key to your success.


Title: Programs Coordinator Outreach & Youth

Reporting Relationships: Report to the Programs Manager.

Schedule Type: FullTime (Nonexempt). 40 hours each week. Frequent evenings and weekends required for programming.

Location: Based in CAIRs Santa Clara office. CAIR staff are currently working a hybrid schedule with three days inperson and two days remote. Requires frequent travel throughout the Bay Area (vehicle and drivers license required).


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivering CAIRSFBA public education programs interactive workshops training sessions and forums. Must be comfortable with public speaking.
  • Coordinating and delivering CAIRs ARSI/AYM and ARSI S2S programs.
  • Coordinating marketing and outreach efforts for CAIRSFBA programming.
  • Recruiting engaging outreach contacts throughout the region.
  • Representing CAIRSFBA at relevant organizations (college campuses nonprofits mosques etc. events activities and meetings.
  • Ensuring meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of program from initial planning stages to postevent analysis.

Other duties as assigned dependent on organizational needs and employee skills.


All CAIR staff are required to assist in general duties such as answering phones weekly outreach fundraising and other office tasks.


Required Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects with limited time
  • Excellent oral and written communication to interface with community leaders volunteers donors and colleagues in a professional and effective manner
  • Experience with and proficiency in public speaking before diverse audiences
  • Access to a working vehicle and the ability to drive throughout Northern California for events and outreach in an ondemand capacity
  • A strong commitment to civil rights and CAIRs mission

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Adobe Acrobat Asana Canva Constant Contact and WordPress
  • Experience working with the American Muslim community
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations
  • Conversational proficiency in Arabic Dari or Urdu

Compensation

  • Compensation in the range of $2830.59/hourly commensurate with experience
  • Fully paid Kaiser Health Insurance and Blue Cross PPO Dental Plan for employee and dependents
  • 3 retirement matching contribution
  • 12 paid holidays 10 sick days and 12 vacation days
