This is a nonunion positionAre you a dedicated and skilled technician with a strong passion for ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems in a fastpaced and rewarding environment Were looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Technician II to join Enbridge and contribute to maintaining the essential systems that power gas delivery through our compressor stations!
Heres what you will do:
Ensures the proper operation compliance inspection maintenance troubleshooting and repair of such station systems as air systems air dryer systems fuel systems cooling systems gas compression prime mover and all other equipment vital to maintain gas delivery through the compressor station.
Recognizes and reacts to abnormal conditions associated with duties.
Completes paperwork and reports related to station equipment maintenance accurately and completely.
Advises as required other employees in performance of station equipment maintenance duties.
Consistently works in a safe responsible manner and actively participates in safely related programs.
Actively participates as a work group team member and maintains a harmonious work relationship with fellow employees.
Performs work in compliance with Company policies/procedures as well as external regulatory bodies such as Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
Provide Operation Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Turbine/Compressor package unit which including start stop alarm & operation variables monitoring and initial response as required.
Assists others in troubleshooting and repairing all station equipment.
Work with significant independence on standard assignments.
Continuously demonstrate and promote Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures.
Participate in design reviews with the ability to decipher diagrammatic/oneline drawings
Ensure that all pertinent records are accurate current and that preventative maintenance schedules are timely.
Monitors operational pressures alarm set points and react to abnormal conditions.
Monitors operates and performs routine inspections on station air systems fuel systems cooling water systems oil systems and safety systems.
Operate Turbine auxiliary equipment station valves.
Monitors operation of station filter systems and liquids storage systems.
Involved in planning work and giving budget related information as required.
Be a strong successful team member and/or lead as needed.
Performs all duties as assigned.
Who you are:
You have the following education and/or experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent
Two years of directly relevant training and experience.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able and willing to work overtime weekends shift on call & standby and travel overnight as required.
Currently resides or is willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.
Desired Qualifications:
Possesses the desire to learn and advance as a Mechanical Technician.
Working knowledge of operations used in maintenance and repair of pipelines and operational equipment.
Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training formal education and/or experience.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel and Word.
Able to work independently with little to no direction.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness integrity honestly and openness are valued.
Proven ability to drive and perform job safely.
Innovative problem solver without compromising SOPs.
Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Balancing bending and stooping climbing crawling carrying (up to 25 pounds) grasping kneeling lifting (objects up to 25 pounds) pulling hand over hand pushing reaching above shoulder repetitive motion sitting standing walking visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding read fine print) hearing requirement.
