As a Software Development Engineer you will take the lead in identifying and solving ambiguous HR operational and business problems. You will own and heavily influence the architecture and design and will write a significant portion of the criticalpath code. You contribute to all aspects of an agile software development lifecycle including design architecture development documentation testing and operations. Key job responsibilities
The Personal Information Domains (PID) Data Platform and Identity Management team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II with a passion for building fullstack enterprise solutions using cloud technologies. The team owns both customerfacing experiences and backend services to enable Personal Information management across Amazon globally and facilitation of key processes required to setup and manage profiles and identities during preboarding. From preboarding to alumni all Amazonians globally will interact with the products the Personal Information Domain builds and maintains.
As a SDE II on the team you will own the design build and maintenance of data platform services and the HR admin experience for personal data management. You will own and enhance services that perform duplicate detection login and identity creation profile management and automation of several critical services for successful preboarding. A successful SDE II will have a broad array of experiences exceptional design skills strong technical judgement an excellent ability to solve problems good communication skills and a desire to be a key technical contributor. The software you write will impact millions of Amazonians globally and will require a breadth of technical development knowledge. Daily work will involve interacting with engineers product managers SDMs and stakeholders.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
