Caterpillar York Distribution Center is hiring Material Specialists!

(Weekday PartTime (MondayFriday) 2pm6pm at $20.96/hour.

OurProduct Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD as within all of Caterpillar our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. At our York Distribution Center PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Safely perform the material handling and warehousing processes required in the receiving processing storing moving packing and shipping of parts materials equipment and supplies.
• Operate handheld scanner to access system driven inventory levels and electronically update information for receiving counting and order processing.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate order pickers reach trucks sitdown forklifts and overhead hoists. Keep in mindnot all available positions operate equipment.
• Report defects and need for repairs.
• Utilize pneumatic tools and/or power tools to build and construct wooden shipping containers.
• Utilize tools for the application of paint and rust preventative.
• Perform housekeeping functions as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

• Experience:Demonstrated longevity of at least 6 months in previous employment or education/volunteer experience.
• Agility:Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 49 pounds individually walk approximately 10 to 12 miles per day sit stand squat and bend over repetitively and consistently throughout your shift with or without reasonable be willing to be trained on and comfortable working on equipment up to 40 feet in air.
