Job Description
Job Overview:
Our private orthopedic practice in Lubbock Texas is seeking a skilled and motivated General Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing total joint procedures and provide highquality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a reputable practice and contribute to the wellbeing of the community.
Responsibilities:
- Total Joint Procedures: Perform a variety of total joint surgeries including knee and hip replacements ensuring the highest standard of care for patients.
- Patient Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their orthopedic conditions discuss treatment options and address any concerns.
- Pre and PostOperative Care: Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to patients including evaluation education and followup appointments.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals including nurses physical therapists and colleagues within the practice to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Stay Informed: Stay updated on the latest advancements and techniques in orthopedic surgery through continuous education and professional development.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records including surgical notes progress notes and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree: Possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification: Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
- State License: Hold a valid medical license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Experience: Previous experience in performing total joint procedures is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients in an understandable manner.
- Team Player: Demonstrate a collaborative and teamoriented approach to patient care.
