Content/Photography Strategist
Location: Fargo ND
Job Type: FullTime
Department: Creative Services
Reports To: Creative Director / Project Manager

In addition to marketing services Spotlight publishes several communityfocused magazines including Meet Fargo INC! and Future Farmer all aimed at celebrating local culture business and agriculture.

About the Role

Were on the hunt for a content creator who lives and breathes creativity. Someone who loves variety jumps between projects with excitement and thrives on making awesome stuff every day.
At any given moment you might be:
- Shooting quickhit social videos on our DJI Pocket
- Making eyecatching designs in Canva
- Editing engaging reels or shorts in CapCut
- Writing stories for our magazines that people actually want to read
- Snapping killer photos for features and covers
- Creating SEOoptimized content that ranks
- Helping our marketing agency clients shine through content that actually works

Key Responsibilities
Photography
- Capture highquality engaging photos for editorial commercial and lifestyle campaigns.
- Edit and optimize images for use across web print and social media platforms.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to plan and execute photo shoots.
Graphic Design (Could be Canva)
- Design layouts and creative assets for magazines advertisements social media and client campaigns.
- Maintain brand consistency while bringing fresh innovative ideas to the table.
- Support production teams with design assets across print and digital media.
Client Collaboration
- Work directly with clients to understand their brand voice goals and creative needs.
- Pitch content concepts and present creative direction confidently and clearly.
- Deliver content on deadline meeting both internal and client expectations.
Agency Projects
- Contribute to multidisciplinary campaigns across a range of industries.
- Brainstorm and execute creative ideas in partnership with writers editors videographers and account managers.
- Assist with project management asset organization and content planning.
What Were Looking For
- 2 years of experience in a content creation role (inhouse freelance or agency).
- Strong portfolio showcasing photography.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Photoshop Lightroom Illustrator).
- Experience working directly with clients or in an agency setting is a strong plus.
- Strong visual storytelling skills and a deep understanding of design principles.
- Excellent communication time management and organization skills.
- A passion for local culture creativity and collaboration.
