Job Description

This position is part of the Design Engineering Department located in Coralville Iowa and will be onsite. At IDT we are one global team. We celebrate our differences engage in healthy debates and are inclusive. Together we accomplish great things.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist in the development of engineering designs using CAD software under guidance of senior engineers
- Support the assembly and testing of mechanical systems and prototypes
- Participate in design projects by collaborating with crossfunctional teams
- Analyze performance data and present findings in technical reports
- Gain experience working with production and laboratory equipment
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical or related engineering program at a college or university
- Completed at least two semesters of engineering coursework
- Basic proficiency with 3D CAD modeling software (Solid Edge SolidWorks PTC Creo etc.
- Mechanical skills and aptitude for problemsolving
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Understanding concepts involved with writing scripts in Python or other programming languages
- Prior completion of a college level statistics course or related analysis coursework
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards (GD&T)
This job is not eligible for bonus/incentive pay paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance or 401(k).
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus commission benefits or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Companys sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Companys sole discretion consistent with the law.
The hourly range for this role is$25.00. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
