As a Technical Animation Director you set the vision and are responsible for the animation tools pipelines and technologies that enable animators to bring to life iconic characters and provide players with a unique game experience.

Joining Amazon Games Montral means taking part in the foundation of a new video game studio that operates at a focused human scale; participating in the creation of a new intellectual property a fresh take on the AAA multiplayer online battle arena game (yes a MOBA); and collaborating with a team of wellrounded experts who have a great time working together. Key job responsibilities
Responsabilits
Mettre en place et maintenir un pipeline danimation qui permet datteindre des rsultats de haute qualit et maximise la productivit;
Crer ou modifier des outils et des scripts spcifiques pour amliorer lefficacit des animatrices et animateurs;
Prototyper et mettre en uvre des systmes danimation procdurale tels que le tissu la physique et IK;
Assurer que les systmes danimation supportent les fonctionnalits du jeu la personnalisation des personnages ainsi que de leurs accessoires;
Soutenir et amliorer le pipeline danimation de Maya vers le moteur de jeu;
Accrotre les comptences de lquipe grce au mentorat sur des sujets techniques.

Responsibilities
Implement and maintain an animation pipeline that produces high quality results and maximizes productivity;
Create or modify specific tools and scripts to improve the efficiency of animators;
Work with animators and developers to create and improve animation systems in the game engine;
Prototype and implement procedural animation systems such as cloth physics and game IK;
Ensure the animation systems support game features customization and attachments;
Support and improve the animation pipeline from Maya to the game engine;
Increase team skills through mentoring on technical topics.

Qualifications de base
7 annes dexprience combine en animation rigging et programmation
Capacit exceptionnelle grer des projets rflchir en amont et planifier pour obtenir des rsultats
Excellente connaissance de lengin Unreal et les logiciels 3D
Excellentes comptences en communication orale et crite et de gestion des relations
Bonne matrise du franais et de langlais loral et lcrit; puisque ce rle ncessite dinteragir avec dautres entits dAmazon lchelle mondiale ainsi quavec des et dans dautres provinces canadiennes la connaissance du franais et de langlais est exige pour ce poste.

Basic Qualifications
7 years of combined experience in animation rigging and programming
Exceptional ability to project manage think backwards and plan for results
Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine & 3D software
Excellent verbal written and relationship management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English; due to the nature of the role that requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada bilingualism French and English is required for this position.
