Patient Services Specialist

Job Summary
ThePatient Services Specialistis responsible for the frontendbusiness operations for the assigned clinicincludingpatient registrationverification of patient demographic information create and maintaining patient electronic chart. This position answers incoming calls to the clinic and routesas needed schedules intake appointments within established timeframes in the CBI EHR/EPM scheduling system. Obtains necessary demographic information including but not limitedto: name address phone number email address insurance information. This position regularly interacts with current and potential patients family members of people receiving services as well as community stakeholders and will require excellent communication and customer service skills. Completes insurance verifications for each patient visit and identifies any patient amounts due at the time service is provided. For uninsured patients identifies any potential funding source and identifies those potentially eligible for AHCCCS and refers to the eligibility and enrollment specialist for AHCCCS screening and application.
Notifies a clinical team member when registration is completed for services to be completed. Schedules follow up appointments for clinic services as indicated by the clinical team.
