Position at JBS USA
Job Title: Harvest Floor Supervisor
Location: Omaha
Reporting To: Harvest Floor General Foreman
Essential Job Functions:
- Monitor slaughter area by evaluating product and administering corrective procedures
- Maintain acceptable yield levels on all products on all carcasses
- Perform daily safety walks correcting any noncompliance issues and audits product and employee safety throughout shift
- Ensure all safety regulations food safety policies and collective bargaining agreement are understood and enforced working closely with Quality Assurance
- Record employee daily attendance and verify time cards to ensure correct pay for hours worked
- Rectify attendance issues by coordinating personnel to fill vacant or absent positions and follow any disciplinary procedures with hourly employees
- Attend supervisor meetings each morning
- Contribute to the ongoing development of JBS Omahas policy and procedures
- All other duties as assigned by General Foreman or Superintendent
- Demonstrate the use of JBS Values
Experience Required:
- Minimum 12 years production experience
- Past leadership experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required
Skills/Abilities Required:
- Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship and work collaboratively
- Proven written and verbal communication skills problem solving and leadership qualities
- Must be able to work in conditions of extreme heat
- Must be able to work flexible hours and some Saturday work
- General computer skills
- Knowledge of meat processing and subsequent job specifications
- Willingness to travel at least 25 of the time
