Job Summary:
The Shop Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing daily operations across multiple production areas including paint assembly welding electrical and sheet metal fabrication. This role ensures that production goals are met safely efficiently and to quality standards while fostering teamwork and professional growth among employees. The Shop Supervisor works closely with other department leaders to coordinate workflow resolve issues and maintain a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees in paint assembly welding electrical and sheet metal fabrication.
- Plan prioritize and assign work to meet production schedules deadlines and quality standards.
- Monitor employee performance provide coaching and feedback and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering quality and production planning teams to resolve technical or process issues.
- Maintain accurate records of production labor hours and materials used.
- Support employee training and development to build cross-functional skills within the shop.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Manage shop resources tools and equipment to ensure availability and proper maintenance.
- Enforce workplace safety practices and lead safety meetings and audits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- 35 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong knowledge of paint assembly welding electrical and sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach motivate and hold employees accountable.
- Excellent problem-solving organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and specifications.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proficiency with production software scheduling and reporting tools preferred.
