Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and manage detailed bills of material (BOM) for each forklift build ensuring that all vital components parts and specifications are accurately documented.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to verify that the BOM aligns with the latest design revisions and quality standards.
Ensure that the BOM supports efficient manufacturing practices by including detailed quantities descriptions and part numbers.
Regularly review and update BOMs as needed based on changes in customer orders or inventory levels ensuring the factory has the most current information for production.
Use BOM software tools for generating reports and tracking changes offering insight into the materials needed for each forklift order.
Maintain a strong relationship with dealer network to ensure satisfaction and effective communication.
Check forklift orders for correct pricing and configuration prior to processing to prevent errors.
Quickly resolve forklift order inconsistencies and incompatible configuration requests facilitating smooth order process.
Collaborate with other departments and customers to quickly resolve issues arising within forklift pricing or specifications.
Provide forklift capacities for Final Inspection to create capacity plates ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Adjust working priorities to support business needs demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
Qualifications:
Strong computer skills including experience with ERP systems and MS office. Familiarity with SAP preferred.
Ability to pay attention to detail ensuring accuracy in orders and communications.
Detailed and timely communication skills both verbal and written to optimally interact with customers and team members.
Ability to work under pressure and quickly respond to changes or urgent situations.
Strong analytical skills to assess situations and make informed decisions.
Knowledge of heavy equipment industry configurations is helpful improving your ability to identify product requirements and ensure BOM captures full capability to meet customer needs.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent experience.
An Associates Degree or equivalent experience is a plus and may improve your qualifications for the role.
