Job Description

Civil Engineer Project Manager Mission Critical Site Development

Thomas & Hutton has an opening for an individual with mission critical team experience. We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer Project Manager Mission Critical Site Development to join our dynamic team. This role requires regular interaction with our mission critical clients experience with fastpaced designs construction administration and ability to lead site/civil and multidiscipline projects. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Location: Columbia South Carolina

Reports To: Mission Critical Program Leadership

Qualifications: To excel in this role you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Project Management
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required
  • Proven experience managing missioncritical projects.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D 3D BIM modeling tools and coordination processes.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive results in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities: As a Mission Critical Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our mission critical projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Leadership:
    • Oversee the planning coordination and of mission critical projects from start to finish.
    • Lead crossfunctional teams including site/civil engineers MEP professionals and other stakeholders.
    • Manage project budgets ensuring cost control measures are implemented and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mission Critical Expertise:
    • Leverage your experience in missioncritical environments to drive successful project outcomes.
    • Familiarity with site due diligence test fits utility coordination and fastpaced design processes.
    • Coordinate with internal and external MEP design engineers to ensure seamless integration of critical infrastructure.
  • 3D BIM Modeling Coordination:
    • Collaborate with design teams to facilitate 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination.
    • Ensure accurate representation of civil and siterelated components within the BIM model.
  • Construction Administration:
    • Oversee construction activities monitor progress and address any issues that arise during the construction phase.
    • Work closely with contractors subcontractors and vendors to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
  • MultiDiscipline Projects:
    • Lead site/civil and multidiscipline projects integrating civil engineering architectural and MEP components.
    • Foster effective communication among various project disciplines to achieve project goals.
  • Reporting and Program Leadership:
    • Provide regular project status updates to Mission Critical program leadership.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align project objectives with overall business strategy.
