Job Description
Experienced accountant
Summary
We are looking for an experienced accountant. The role involves being the key contact person for accounting matters preparing financial statements and handling various accounting tasks such as posting transactions invoice verification and cash management.
The ideal candidate will have a commercial training background with further qualification as a balance sheet and financial accountant at least 5 years of experience and knowledge of German HGB Standards.
What you do
- Key contact person for management in all accounting matters
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and bring specialist knowledge to projects outside of the companys daytoday business
Responsibilities
- Posting and monitoring of all business transactions to the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers (including fixed asset ledger and provisions)
- Initiation and monitoring of the invoice verification process
- Preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
- Management of receivables and weekly payments
- Preparation of VAT returns and statistical reporting to government authorities
- Coordination of income tax returns with external service providers
- Support communication with auditors tax advisors tax authorities and other stakeholders as well as support of statutory audits
- Close cooperation with head offices in US
Requirements
- Commercial training with further training to become a balance sheet and financial accountant (I think this needs specific language for GY market)
- Experince within Multinational corporations
- At least 5 years of professional experience in finance and accounting
- Good MS Office knowledge especially Excel
- Knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage
- English spoken and written
- Understanding of business contexts
- Experience in payroll accounting is desirable
- Independent and conscientious way of working structured and solutionoriented
- Commitment dedication resilience
- Team player with handson mentality and user knowledge of MS Dynamics and NetSuite desirable
