Job Description

You will be contacted directly by the facility after applying to this opportunity for an experienced academic surgeon to lead and develop a general surgery residency program at HCA Florida West in Pensacola Candidates:Board certified in general surgery Minimum of three years of postgraduate clinical experience Minimum of three years of academic/administrative experienceCombination of both clinical and administrative duties with protected time to devote effort to program administration Strong administrative and team building skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsFlorida medical license or ability to obtain oneDetails/Responsibilities:Authority and accountability for the operation of the general surgery residency program including oversight of curriculum policies and procedures for the programAssist with the submission of a new program application to the ACGMEEnsure compliance with all program requirementsMaintaining ACGME accreditationRecruitment of residents into the program and developing evaluation process for performanceParticipating in competency evaluations of residentsDeveloping a strong committed faculty team with deep experience and knowledgeAdditional responsibilities to ensure program of excellenceCombination of administrative and clinical timeIncentive/Benefits Package:Competitive salary driven by MGMA data and industry benchmarkingPaid time off paired with allocated dollars and days toward CMEComprehensive benefits packageSupport from mature multispecialty surgical group and administration
