About the role

As Team Leader of our Rural Youth Mental Health Service (RYMH) you will be focused on ensuring your team are positioned to provide exceptional services for our clients and stakeholders.

RYMH offers early intervention services for young people 1225 with or at risk of mental illness.

For young people not already in contact with a support service or who find it difficult to access or engage with a service RYMH will be there to help them make a positive change. Young people can ask for support from the program themselves or be referred by a community organisation medical professional friend or family member.

Duties

  • Lead the team to ensure that services can be provided to clients in a way that maximise client outcomes and meet organisational portfolio service funding and external compliance objectives.
  • Support team members to understand the vision values and direction of the organisation and translate them so the team understands how they relate to their everyday practice.
  • Collaborate with team members to help them understand and achieve performance expectations build their capability provide regular recognition develop and utilise talent in the team and identify and achieve improved client outcomes and increase employee engagement.
  • Coordinate regular communication channels including team meetings client and practice reviews and 1:1 discussions with team members.
  • Identify learning needs within the team and appropriate learning opportunities both within and without the organisation liaising with the learning and development team as appropriate. Develop and facilitate learning opportunities when appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders to support entry into community.
  • Comply with mandatory reporting requirements that apply to the service in conjunction with the Manager.

Skills and Requirements

You will have a degree qualification in Social Work Welfare or Psychology or related discipline and:

  • Program Leadership experience managing and leading programs in the Community Services sector (Ideal).
  • People Leadership experience building/maintaining an engaged high performing team and developing their capability.
  • Practice Leadership a passion for continuous improvement and implementing industry best practice into service delivery.
  • Flexible & Collaborative Approach lead this innovative team/program and engage a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fastpaced environment ever changing environment.
  • Holistic strengthsbased approach to achieve lasting change.
