Job Description
Fusion HCR is seeking an experienced iSeries Engineerto join a highperforming IT infrastructure team supporting a largescale hotel and casino property. This role is critical to ensuring the stability performance and security of core business systems that run on the IBM i (iSeries/AS400 platform.
Role Overview:
As theiSeries Engineer you will be responsible for the administration maintenance and optimizationof IBM i systems that support essential propertywide operations including gaming hospitality finance and backoffice services. Youll play a vital role in supporting 24/7 systems uptime and ensuring regulatory compliance in a highly secure highavailability environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily administration monitoring and support for IBM i (iSeries/AS400 environments.
Perform system backups restores patching and firmware upgrades.
Support and troubleshoot iSeriesbased applications used in gaming hotel management POS and finance.
Monitor system performance and capacity; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Coordinate planned maintenance system upgrades and outage recovery with minimal business disruption.
Maintain system and operations documentation including DR/BCP runbooks and audit logs.
Ensure adherence to gaming regulations PCI standards and internal security policies.
Collaborate with crossfunctional IT teams (infrastructure networking applications) to support propertywide initiatives.
Provide afterhours support as part of an oncall rotation or during critical maintenance windows.
Required Qualifications:
5 yearsof handson experience managing IBM i / iSeries / AS400 systemsin a production environment.
Strong understanding of IBM i architecture CL programming job scheduling (e.g. Robot HelpSystems) and system utilities.
Experience in the hospitality or gaming industryis highly preferred.
Working knowledge of database management on DB2 for iSeries.
Familiarity with data replication system mirroring and backup strategies.
Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment.
Comfortable operating in a highavailability 24/7 business setting.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Nevada Gaming Control Board registrationor equivalent gaming license.
Experience with integration between iSeries and thirdparty systems such as POS hotel PMS or slot systems.
Exposure to compliancedriven environments (e.g. PCI SOX MICS).
Familiarity with PowerHA BRMS and system performance tools.
