Please note the following hours for this position include:
- During the school calendar year the hours are 1:309:00 pm
- During school breaks the shifts will vary 9:00 am4:30 pm and/or 10:30 am6:00 pm
- During school half days the hour are 11 am 7 pm
- During summer months the shifts will vary 8:30 am4:00 pm and/or 10:00 am5:30 pm
The Social Learning Specialist (SLS) is part of a RCenter support services team. The SLS works to create a youth/family/facultyfriendly presence within the RCenters that is founded on cooperative relationships and direct communication. They are able to provide the full continuum of care; specific areas of focus are prevention education social/emotional support services and immediate crisis response. They will also deliver a variety of bestpractice and researchbased services (i.e. groups workshops curricula) as needed with a focus on the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS). They also provide access to additional resources from The Center for Youth. This is a fulltime 12month position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Administers coordinates and oversees programs in alignment with R Center programming
- Works in tandem with RCenter Administrators to assure services are based on identified needs and meets with the Rcenter staff on a regular basis
- Attend RCenter Support Service meetings
- Deliver a restorativebased system
- Create and oversee data collection and program evaluation processes
- Provide monthly reports to the Assistant Director of Prevention Education
- Coordinate requests for Prevention Education services
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with funder and agency requirements
- Outreach and information dissemination
- Referral and referral readiness;
- Immediate response and support;
- Prevention education with fidelity including assetbuilding groups researchbased curricula planned duplication and booster sessions
- Asset development (risk reduction and protective factor) activities
- Alternative services including pre/post assessment and transitional services
- Agency ambassador and liaison.
- Knowledge of RCenter policies and procedures
- Research and design of services including outcome and impact tracking
- Record keeping evaluation and QA
- Development and maintenance of resource files lesson plans and training aids
- Participation in individual supervision and all mandated meetings and trainings
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelors Degree in a Human Service or related field and 13 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
IPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must be able to be autonomously mobile in order to provide the required services.
