Job Description
The Cape Girardeau Public School District is seeking a Parttime AtRisk Teacher for Central Academy/Day Treatment.
The AtRisk Teacher is responsible for providing support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers other professional staff and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Valid Missouri Teacher Certificate
- Successful student teaching
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Skills in human relations leadership and conflict management
- Knowledgeable of teaching techniques that meet the diverse needs of students
- Demonstrate skills in computer word processing spreadsheets and data bases
- Experience in formative assessments cooperative learning techniques and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Math English Science Social Studies or Special Education
- Working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities
- LETRS Certification and/or OrtonGillingham Certification
- Experience with Google Workspace and/or CanvasLMS
