Job Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide lowlatency highspeed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a member of Kuiper MACSW you will be responsible for delivering embedded FW code running on ground networks on customer terminals and on satellites. Come and join the innovative and unique wireless project Kuiper. You would be focused on designing developing and testing complete KuiperMAC FW. You will be a key member of a cross functional team of innovators working on unique wireless technology that will enable millions of people to stay connected. Design develop integrate and bring up KuiperMAC FW components/drivers in a realtime embedded environment
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
* Working in a crossfunctional environment to define multidimensional performance requirements (e.g. MIPs memory BW)
* Make performance and optimization tradeoffs to meet endtoend use case requirement
* Build component usecases/testcases and debug your code in Kuiper embedded environment
* Profile and execute the code on RTOS and/or baremetal embedded environment
* Contribute in defining services and functionalities delivered by your FWsubsystems
* Define document test and debug your FWHW interfaces
* Familiarity with SW/FW best practices (e.g. clean architecture refactoring
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of computer science fundamentals (objectoriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
