Job Description
The Department of Communication and Journalism is seeking a visiting assistant professor in journalism for a nontenure track appointment. This is a oneyear contract beginning Aug. 15 2019. The teaching obligation will include courses in public relations and journalism and the teaching load is three courses per semester. In addition to teaching service to the department is required. Minimum qualification is a graduate degree in humanities. Desired qualifications include evidence of a developing research agenda and/or scholarly publication experience in a professional field such as public relations communication advertising or journalism and/or experience teaching undergraduate courses in one or more journalistic areas (such as public relations). Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate degree in the humanities.
