JOB DESCRIPTION
Looking for an enthusiastic and innovative part time or fulltime physical therapist to join a growing rehabilitation department based in a rural Critical Access Hospital and Outpatient Clinic.
Duties include: providing planning and organizing PT services to the community and surrounding areas including CAH outpatients school (optional) supervising PTA and RCA and working in a multidisciplinary team environment including PT/OT/ST providers and nursing staff.
Experience an asset but not essential. New grads welcome.
Therapy Functions:
- Review requests for physical therapy and physicians orders.
- Evaluate type of therapy most desirable after consulting with physician.
- Provide effective and efficient evaluation and treatment and modify as needed.
- Instruct patients and/or family members and staff in home programs as well as care and use of adaptive equipment.
- Provide patient education.
- Determine proper equipment usage application and body position and make adjustments as necessary in the administration of physical therapy treatments )e.g.; gait training modalities manual therapy therapeutic exercises etc.
- Apply agents such as ultrasound Estim manual therapy therapeutic exercise (e.g.; active passive) etc. as required.
- Ensure therapy notes are informative and descriptive of the care provided and of the patients response to care.
- Meet with attending physician/medical director and other medical staff etc. as necessary.
- Have attending physicians(s) review and sign treatment plans etc.
- Discuss patient treatment methods and problems with support staff (PTA RCA) regularly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements include a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university and a current unencumbered license to practice physical therapy in the state of Montana.
SCHEDULE
Wage rate also dependent upon experience and education. Starting $38.18
