Position Type:Full Time
Location:Colorado Springs Colorado. This is not a remote position.
Salary Range:In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the salary range for this role is$160000 $200000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience skills certifications and location
Additional Compensation:This position is eligible for an endofyear bonus.

Were looking for a Data Modeler Systems Engineer to architect optimize and secure missioncritical data ecosystems in the space and air domains. Key Responsibilities
Architect and Optimize Data Systems
- You dont just build data modelsYour work ensures systems dont just talk to each other but actually understand each other.
- Design and maintain enterprisegrade data models that are resilient efficient and built for the future.
- Define and integrate schemas and ontologies making sure all systems speak the same language.
- Test debug and validate relentlesslybecause bad data is worse than no data.
- Analyze existing models to drive innovation not just iteration.
- Ensure interoperability so data flows smoothly across platforms unblocking insights and efficiency.
- Translate customer needs into actionable plans clear user stories and rocksolid deliverables.
- Communicate progress through concise documentation and reports that cut through the noise.

Lead with Technical Excellence
- Youre not just keeping up with best practicesyoure defining them.
- Leverage CAMEO and enterprise frameworks to set the foundation for bulletproof data modeling.
- Review mentor and refinesetting the gold standard for quality and guiding the next wave of engineers.
- Partner with stakeholders to finetune and implement data models and APIs that drive real mission success.
- Work handinhand with other systems engineers software engineers and DevSecOps teams to push the boundaries of whats possible.

Drive Engineering Innovation

Who You Are
Youre a data modeler with a missiona problem solver who thrives on turning complex messy datasets into structured efficient and secure architectures. You dont just manage datayou make it work smarter faster and better.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in systems engineering and data modeling.
- Experience with Space and Air domain systemsif youve built models for aerospace we definitely want to talk.
- Proven expertise in enterprise data modeling and CAMEO.
- Deep familiarity with DoD systems and security requirementsbecause security isnt just a checkbox.
- Handson experience with cloud architectures and microservicesfutureproofing is your thing.
- Sharp analytical mindyou love breaking down tough data challenges and turning them into elegant solutions.
- Experience in testing validation and debuggingbecause data integrity is nonnegotiable.
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop Spark Kafka)handling massive datasets is second nature to you.
- Ability to translate complex needs into scalable efficient technical solutions.
- Toptier communication and collaboration skillsbecause data problems dont get solved in a vacuum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with NiFi for data automation and optimization.
- Proficiency in UML ER diagrams and schema designwhether structured or unstructured you make data make sense.
- Familiarity with AWS Azure or Google Cloudbecause the future is in the cloud.
- Handson experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of network engineering principlesbecause data doesnt move itself.
Required Education:10 years of software development with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for a security clearance US Citizenship is required and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check. Eligibility for a TS/SCI Clearance will be assessed as part of the onboarding process or based on programmatic needs.
