The Opportunity
Responsible for system solution sales of Automation and Communication (AC) business within Power Grid Automation BU in accordance with strategy. Build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues.
How youll make an impact:
- You will support and grow Sales within Automation (Substation Protection and Control) and Communication in Southern Africa supporting full sales process from Promotion Product Homologation support distributor channel development and direct sales to the market. You will create added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensures the successful outcome of transactions contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques communicate details in accordance with Hitachi Energy offering and strategy.
- You will prepare sales plans using company tools perform regular status reviews and propose recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls identify Sales opportunities and use CRM tool to record and share lead direct relation or communication with customers and lead negotiation.
- You will ensure most competitive offer taking into account the market situation and customers conditions identify which approach (e.g. direct sales consortium or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer support bid/no bid analyses and decisions and participate in project risk review processes. You will involve in external: direct relations with customers Channel partners Distributors and internal: Account managers Bid and Proposal team Solution line specialists Country and Regional management.
- You will be leading drive and hold yourself accountable for the highest standards of health safety and environment to ensure Zero Harm is achieved responsible for compliance with relevant HSE policy and procedures ensuring proactive risk assessments take place and corrective actions monitored/followed up.

Your background:
- You hold degree/diploma or equivalent Electrical Engineering.
- More than 58 Years of experience in technical sales role and having knowledge and understanding on Grid Automation (Automation and communication) portfolios
- Experience across Electrical Industry within Utilities Power T&D or Power Systems projects especially in Substation Automation & Communication is an advantage.
- Advanced computer skills across MS Office MS Teams Outlook SharePoint.
- Expresses opinions able to work with multiple stakeholders and positions.
- As you will be working in a global environment fluency in English written and spoken alike is a must
- We are looking for experienced selfmotivated and reliable team player with an independent and result oriented working style as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills.
- Able to work independently and collaborate in a team set up.
